How to Save Food in School Cafeterias summarizes the results of research on food waste within the Prague Food Waste (2023-2025) project, which focused on measuring food waste in four school canteens in Prague. The research combined kitchen waste weighing, student questionnaires, interviews with canteen staff and workshops with stakeholders. The aim was to obtain primary data and to formulate practical recommendations to reduce food waste in school canteens. The publication is aimed primarily at school management, kitchen staff, parents and public administration representatives and provides suggestions for solutions to make operations more efficient, including communication with children and adjustments to the lunch ordering system.
