ŠÍŘENÍ PŮVODCŮ INFEKČNÍCH ONEMOCNĚNÍ LIDSKÝMI A ZVÍŘECÍMI ODPADY

Při šíření různých původců infekčních onemocnění hrají významnou roli nejenom infikovaní jedinci, vektorová a rezervoárová zvířata, půda, voda a další vehikula, ale také lidské a zvířecí odpady. Jejich zdravotní význam začal stoupat s rozvojem zemědělské činnosti (tedy koncentrací většího množství zvířat na jednom místě) a s rozvojem sídlišť (koncentrace většího množství osob dlouhodobě pobývajících na určitém místě). Postupný vývoj nakládání s lidskými odpady, který dospěl do vybudování hermeticky uzavřené kanalizace, která přivádí odpady až do čistíren odpadních vod (ČOV), trval celá tisíciletí.
