The objective of this study is to analyze the significance of the value chain of game meat production for forest management using the cases of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Game meat, as an important natural resource, plays a key role in the conservation and management of forest ecosystems, with each stage of game meat production (primary production, processing, distribution) contributing to the added value of the final product. The study explores the differences between the two countries in terms of hunting activities, wildlife density, and economic factors affecting game meat production. The results indicate opportunities for increasing economic benefits and improving environmental management of forests through more efficient utilization of game resources.

Keywords: game meat production, game meat value chain, damage to forest regeneration, wildlife damage
