How to Save Food in Households is based on the Prague Food Waste project, which between 2023–2025 examined the extent and structure of food waste in Prague households. Based on both quantitative and qualitative research (questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and mixed municipal waste analyses), the guide identifies the key drivers of food waste and consumer behaviour patterns, highlighting seasonal variations, income-related factors, and housing typology. The manual offers practical recommendations for households, public authorities, and retailers to reduce food waste. It includes a communication campaign blueprint, educational tools, and visual materials ready for direct use. It targets all stakeholders striving to promote more sustainable food management practices at the consumer level.
