The aim of this experiment was to evaluate the production response of broiler chickens to different levels of white lupin in feed mixtures. 4 feed mixture variants were prepared; 1 control group (L0) without lupin and 3 experimental groups with 5% (L5), 15% (L15) and 30% (L30) replacement of soybean extracted meal with lupin meal. A total of 128 Ross 308 hybrid broilers were included in the experiment. The highest slaughter weight was achieved in group L15 (2175 g). The results indicate that partially replacing soybean meal with white lupin does not negatively affect the production parameters of the broilers. In fact, a trend suggests that including a certain amount of lupin in the diets may improve some of the monitored indicators.
Keywords: poultry nutrition, broiler fattening, alternative protein sources, replacement of soybean meal
